Privacy Policy

When the channel owner authorizes NewsReader through Google OAuth, the tool may access:

• The authorized YouTube channel identifier and channel name.
• Playlist identifiers and playlist information needed for video organization.
• Permission to upload videos and add uploaded videos to playlists.
• OAuth access and refresh tokens required for unattended authorized operation.

The information is used only to verify the intended destination channel, upload operator-approved videos, organize those videos in configured playlists, prevent accidental duplicate uploads, and diagnose upload failures. NewsReader does not use Google user data for advertising, profiling, or sale.

OAuth credentials and upload history are stored locally on the operator's secured computer. They are excluded from source control and restricted with operating-system file permissions. Google user data is not sold or shared with third parties. Tokens are transmitted only to Google's OAuth and YouTube API services as required to perform authorized operations.

Credentials are retained only while automated publishing is enabled. The channel owner can revoke NewsReader access at any time from the Google Account connections page. NewsReader's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
